We are actively seeking a highly experienced Senior Frontend HTML5 Game Developer to join our team, based in or near Oxford, UK. As our representative, you will take on the responsibility of implementing and optimising high-quality, maintainable code within a framework, all with the goal of delivering an exceptional user experience. While not mandatory, having a background in developing games and software for the casino industry is preferred.

This position offers a remote-first work arrangement, requiring onsite presence only once a month. As a valuable member of their game development team, you will collaborate closely with the creative department to ensure the flawless delivery of online games. Your role involves working alongside designers and developers to guarantee top-notch game performance across all platforms, including mobile and desktop. Your ability to excel in a team environment, consistently deliver results on time, and effectively communicate will be critical aspects of your success in this role.

Skills:

• 5+ years of experience working with HTML5 and TypeScript in both mobile and desktop environments.
• Experience with PixiJS, Phaser, or other JavaScript gaming/animation frameworks.
• Proficient knowledge of animation techniques using WebGL or Canvas 2D APIs.
• Solid experience with source control platforms and tools such as GIT and SVN.

Nice-to-have Skills:

• Knowledge of CSS, PostCSS, and SASS/SCSS.
• Familiarity with CSS frameworks (Tailwind, Bootstrap) and responsive design techniques.
• Passion for staying up to date with the latest technologies.
• Background in mathematics, statistics, physics, or 3D development.
• Excellent knowledge of platform-specific and cross-platform capabilities and constraints.
• Experience with JavaScript build tools (e.g., Gulp, Vite, Rollup).
• Ability to analyze and understand frameworks and functionality for optimal mobile-first development.
• Experience with logging and analysis tools for quick error diagnosis (Elasticsearch, Rollbar, Sentry).
